STUFFED SEMOLINA BUNS

INGREDIENTS

for stuffing
butter  1 tbsp
onion finely chopped  2 tbsp
capsicum chopped   2 tbsp
carrots finely chopped  2 tbsp
corn  2 tbsp
salt to taste
green chilli finely chopped  1 tsp or to taste
pepper pdr.  1/2 tsp or to taste

heat butter, add onion, green chilli, saute for a minute
add capsicum, carrots, saute for 2 minutes
add corn, salt mix well
remove add pepper pdr. keep aside

For buns
semolina   1 cup
curd/ yoghurt   1 cup
water as needed
baking soda  1/2 tsp
salt to taste

Butter & cheese slice to assemble

METHOD
mix semolina, salt well, add curd, mix well, add water as needed, as it depends on the size of semolina & the weather. the batter should be slightly thicker than idli/ cake batter.
keep aside for 10 minutes, if the batter is too thick add some more water.
pour in small greased plate, steam in cooker for 10 minutes
remove, cool for 5 minutes, before you remove.
cut into half, spread butter on one half, put the filling, keep a slice of cheese, cover with another slice, cut into half
serve decorated with some capsicum, onion & carrot pieces stuck on a toothpick on the buns.
or you may just keep rings of capsicum, onion & serve along with ketchup.
