White salad and gravy with dal

Salad
Most of the goodness is retained in the base white flesh which we generally throw away. It can be chopped and mixed with radish, salt and pepper powder, lemon juice and vinegar and consumed as a salad.
You can also make raita with it with a sprinkling of chaat powder.
White flesh gravy with dal
The white flesh can be cooked with tuvar dal/ moong dal, salt, ground paste of coconut & chillies, tadka with jeera, urad dal , curry leaves & hing. This goes well with rice & roti.
