Easy Egg-less Chocolate Cake- No Bake

 Ingredients

75g butter

200g dark chocolate chopped

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 cup caster sugar

2 bananas ripe (mashed with a fork)

40 Marie biscuit

Preparations

Heat butter and chopped chocolate until melted, you can do it in a micro safe bowl  or simply in a pot on a medium heat. Stir in cocoa powder and sugar, whisk until sugar is melted. Take off the heat then add bananas and finally crush each biscuit with hand and toss in the chocolate banana sauce.

Fold gently so you don’t crush the biscuits in tiny pieces until all of them are well coated. Line a loaf pan with plastic wrap to put the biscuits and chocolate, this way it will have a rectangular shape, easy to cut. Depending on how thick you want your cake to be. With the back of a spoon (or your hand) level the mixture in the loaf pan.

 lazy cake

Refrigerate at least for 3 hours, take it out, unwrap, cut in slices using a sharp knife and enjoy you no bake chocolate cake !

Now keep the pan to bake @ 180 deg. C for 15 minutes, keep an eye, as the time can vary a lot depending on the size of your oven, outside temperature, voltage etc.

1. Hash browns

 waffles

Grate fresh potatoes over the waffle iron adding vegetables and cheese. You can also use frozen tater tots.

Reheat macaroni and cheese

A classic enjoyable meal easily reheated. Dip your refridgerated macaroni in flour and coat this with a beaten egg. Bread this with crumbs and place it on the waffle iron.

Cinnamon rolls
waffles

This one only takes 6 minutes. Place Refrigerated Cinnamon Rolls on your waffle iron. Use cooking spray for a non-stick result. Drizzle with icing.

Add turkey, ham and cheese to a slice of bread and cover. If you use sourdough bread spread a thin layer of jam to the bread to offset the sourdough tang.  Vegetarians can put left-over dry vegges or those with little gravy between bread slices adding some cheese on the veggies and cook it on the waffle, or you can even use your left-over rotis, stuffing with left-over vegges, adding some cheese on vegges, cover with another roti and cook on the waffle iron, nice crispy toast and your left-over rotis and vegges will disappear in no time and people will long for more !

Red velvet cookies
waffles
With a pop of color impress guests with instant red velvet cookies. Add creamy white icing for the complete experience.

For an quick decadent breakfast cut off the crusts of bread, dip in whisked egg and press in the waffle iron. Add cinnamon, syrup or jam for that finishing touch.

S'mores, without the campfire
waffles

S'mores have 3 ingredients: marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers. Click here for a graham cracker dough recipe.

Classic BLT
Layer bacon slices, lettuce leaves and cheese slices. For added flavor spread a thin layer of mayonnaise with garlic, fresh dill and basil on your slices of bread.

Vegetarians, add the left-over vegges or even the fresh veges on bread slices, top with some tomato, onion and cheese slice, cover with another bread, this will make a good meal by itself- for b'fast, lunch/ dinner !

Tacos, with meat and egg OR with beans, vegetables and cheese !
Use a savory waffle recipe, then add meat and eggs. For a vegetarian alternative use beans, vegetables and cheese.

Savory mashed potato waffles, with cheddar

Use leftover mashed potatoes to make delicious savory waffles. Add a pinch of flour and flavor by adding cheddar, chives, garlic powder and butter.

Croque madame
Use croissant dough in the waffle iron. You can then add ham and cheese. Once this is ready, you can cook an egg on the iron, but without closing the lid.

Chocolate cake
For a further shortcut to delicious baked goods, used a box cake mix and press in the waffle iron for delicious waffle cake.
