Paneer Besan Chilla

Paneer Besan Chilla  

Paneer besan chilla or gram flour combined with grated paneer and made into excellent savory pancakes. It can be had on evenings with spicy chutneys or pickle. It is a very popular and traditional Indian breakfast and evening snack that is easy to prepare. It is a unique light recipe that is a great breakfast alternative for heavy paranthas.

Ingredients

1 Cup Besan

1/2 tsp Salt

1 tsp Black Pepper

1 Onion, chopped

1/2 cup Paneer, grated

1 Tomato

2 Green Chilies

1/2 tsp Ajwain

1/2 cup Coriander Leaves

1 cup Water

 

Making

Take besan in a bowl, add salt, black pepper, onion, grated paneer, tomato, green chillies, ajwain and coriander leaves. 

Whisk all the ingredients together in the bowl along with water to make a mixture.

Add more water to make its consistency light.

Now take a pan and put some amount of the besan mixture to pan fry it. 

Fry till it turns  crispy and golden brown. 

 

Put some grated paneer, onion, black pepper and coriander leaves over.

Fold it and serve hot with red chili chutney.

Baked Namak Parre

 Everyone love to have some namkeen bites with tea/ coffee, Now all being health conscious, you want to eat them guilt-free, this is the recipe for you to indulge in.

Ingredients

maida 60 gm

whole wheat flour/ atta 160 gm 

salt to taste

hing little

ajwain 1/2 tsp

pepper pdr to taste

oil 1 tbsp

water as needed

 

Preparations

in a big bowl, add the flours, salt, pepper pdr, ajwain, hing, oil, mix well

then add water as needed to make a dough like for roti.

dust the top with some flour, roll the dough into a big circle/ rectangle, neither too thin nor fat

cut into diagonal  shape, spread on lightly greased baking tray

bake in a pre-heated oven @ 180 C for 12-15 minutes.

It will be golden, enjoy this guilt-free namak parre.
