INGREDIENTS
milk 1 litre
jaggery cut into small pieces 1/2- 3/4 cup
curd/ yoghurt 1 tbsp
butterscotch for decorations
METHOD
boil milk, add jaggery, mix well, keep stirring, once it is completely melted, remove, cool little
add curd mix thoroughly, with a beater, or by pouring from one vessel to another several times
let it set well by pouring in individual earthen or any small containers
then refrigerate it till it gets cold
serve by garnishing with small pieces of butterscotch & you may add cherry/ strawberry piece in the centre or any other colourful seasonal fruit.
it is served cold, this is a favourite recipe from West Bengal, India.
