EASY AND QUICK RAGI SWEET BALLS/ LADDOS

INGREDIENTS

ragi flour   1 cup
ghee/clarified butter   3-4 tbsp
cardamom pdr.  1 tsp
castor sugar  1/2 cup or to taste
cashew nuts cut into small pieces  2 tbsp
coconut pdr. to decorate  2-3 tbsp

METHOD

in a heavy pan, heat 3 tbsp ghee, add nuts, fry till light brown, add flour, fry on low flame till a nice aroma comes & it gets dark brown
keep in a bowl, add cardamom pdr., castor sugar, mix well
once slightly cool, roll into small balls, roll in coconut pdr.
let it cool thoroughly before you store them
this will last for a week.
ps- add more ghee if the mixture is dry & you can't roll into balls

NOTE- this is a very healthy sweet, as ragi is a good source of calcium, iron.
coconut has Vitamin E, good for hair & skin.
