For Mushroom Spinach Topping
To prepare the savoury French toast, in a
mixing bowl, crack the eggs, add, milk, salt, pepper and garlic powder
and whisk everything well.
Add a slice of cheese or some grated
cheese between the 2 slices of bread, and dip it in the prepared egg
mixture.
Heat a pan and add some butter to it, place the bread slices and toast on both sides.
For the mushroom spinach topping, in a
saucepan, add some butter or oil, add the garlic then add the mushrooms
and chopped spinach and cook until the water dries up, now season with salt and
pepper and keep aside.
In a separate pan, cook the remaining eggs to your liking (scrambled or sunny-side up).
Slice the savoury French toast into two,
and top with the mushroom topping and the cooked eggs. Serve
immediately.
