Ingredients for 5-6 servings
- 5-6 small pieces of gond katira / edible gum
- 1 tbsp basil seeds
- 4 tbsp rose syrup
- 1 big mango
- 1 pear
- 1 plum
- 1 banana
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 12-15 ice-cubes
Preparations
Take gond katira and basil seeds in separate bowl and soak them in enough water to swell up. Gond katira takes 5-6 hours to swell up while basil seeds or sabja seeds takes 10-15 minutes. It's better to soak overnight in a refrigerator and use next day. In place of rose water you can take roohafza also or any other flavour you like. You can even grind the gond katira with any fruit or fruit pulp as it doesn't have any taste of it and take the flavour of the ingredient grind with.
Now for fruits take as much and whichever fruit you like or in season simply wash them and finely chop them. Now in a mixer grinder add the soaked gond katira which will look just like a jelly after soaked up along with soaked basil seeds and rose syrup. Grind them to a smooth paste. This will take a gel like consistency and will give a base to the smoothie. Now transfer this to a big bowl then add all the chopped fruits to it mix it well and keep it in the refrigerator to make it cool.
Salt is totally optional but it enhance the taste and balance it's flavours. Mix them all very well and before serving add ice-cubes to the serving glasses then pour the Smoothie in it. Tastes amazing when served chilled. May it once and enjoy it with your loved once.
