Cardamom is a fragrant oriental spice we
sadly don't get to enjoy much. It is most widely known as a spice you
add into coffee, but have you ever thought to enjoy it in your hot
cocoa? Enjoy this vegan spicy drink that will keep you warm long after
you finish drinking it.
Ingredients:
Cocoa powder - 3 tbsp.
Powdered sugar - 1 tbsp.
Salt - a pinch
Almond milk - 2 cups
Cardamom - 2 pods (crushed)
Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp.
Preparations
Whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar and salt into a medium saucepan, and add 1/4 cup of the milk and the crushed cardamom.
Add the remaining milk and the vanilla extract and cook to medium heat, without boiling!
Strain through a sieve, pour into 2 cups, and enjoy the cardamom treat!
