Ingredients
moong dal 2 cups
green chilies 1-2 as per taste
ginger 1" chopped
methi/ fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
salt to taste
ghee/ oil for cooking
coconut/ green chutney + gun powder to serve
Preparations
wash dal and methi dana, soak it overnight.
Next morning, wash well and grind it with ginger and green chilies to a smooth batter.
The batter should be like normal dosa batter.
Add salt, little hing, red chili pdr ( optional) mix well.
Let the batter rest for 15 minutes till you make the chutney.
Heat a tawa, spread oil, once hot, reduce heat, spread the batter all around to make thin dosa.
Put some ghee on top and around the edges, flip over after 2 minutes.
Once both sides are brown, serve it hot with chutney of your choice.
It will be a very healthy breakfast. It is full of protein.
To make it richer, use green whole moong dal, as it has fiber too.
You may add grate carrot, onion and mix with the batter along with finely chopped curry leaves.
As you fold the dosa to serve, spread some cheese- processed is also good enough and some green onion.
Fold and press it down for 30 seconds, as cheese will melt, to enhance the taste and more protein to keep you going till lunch time !
