COCONUT DOSA

INGREDIENTS

raw rice   3 cups
coconut finely grated  1
oil as needed
salt to taste

METHOD

wash & soak rice for 6 hours, drain & grind to a smooth paste using the water in which it was soaked
add coconut, grind again to a fine paste
add salt, mix well, set aside for 2 hours
while making dosa, heat the tava / griddle, put some water, once the water evaporates, you know the tava is hot, then reduce heat, smear some oil well all over, spread the batter from outside, so it is thin all over ( if you put the batter in the centre, then try to spread, the centre will be thick, as it is hot)
cook on medium flame by putting little oil all around, turn once the bottom gets golden, turn & cook on the other side in the same way, apply some oil if needed.
serve hot with sambar/ chutney of your choice/ milagai podi.
