INGREDIENTS
oats 2 cups
ragi flour 1 cup
dates 12-15 deseeded
peanuts 1/2 cup roasted ( those allergic to peanuts may use cashew nuts/ almonds)
jaggery/gur/ brown sugar roughly 1 cup
ghee/ clarified butter 2 tbsp or as needed
METHOD
in the microwave, roast oats for roughly 3 minutes ( but after each minute, stir well)
in the same way, in microwave, roast, ragi flour for 3 minutes ( stirring after each minute well) the aroma should come, if not roast for another minute.
in the mixie, crush, oats & peanuts well, then add dates & crush well.
in a big bowl, add the crushed powder, along with ragi powder mix well
in the microwave melt jaggery for a minute, add to the mixture, mix well, if you can roll into balls, fine, or add roughly 2 tablespoons of ghee, mix well, as you'll be able to roll it easily.

oats is an excellent source of fibre
peanuts is a good source of protein
jaggery again a good source of iron
dates is rich in fibre, iron
ghee is fat, which is needed to absorb fat soluble vitamins.
