Ingredients for rainbow cake:
Cake mix - 1 box (white cake mix is best)
Soda - 1 can (either Sprite, 7-Up, or ginger ale.)
Food coloring - purple, blue, green, yellow, red, orange
Whipped topping - 8 oz.
Instant pudding - 1 box
Method of preparing the cake:
Preheat oven according to cake mix instructions. Mix the cake mix and add soda. Divide batter into 6 equal parts.
Stir in the food coloring. Using 2 round baking pans, pour in the colors in concentric mounds.
Bake according to the box instructions. You
may need to add 5-10 minutes. Test with a toothpick. If the cake comes
out the pan easily, place it on a wire rack and let it sit until it’s
cool.
Mix the pudding mix and the whipped topping. Ice the cakes.
