Once you prepare the dry basic thandai powder, feel free to experiment with other fruits- especially seasonal fruits. Always remember to eat more of seasonal fruits and vegetables, all the more those grown in your area, not imported ones. Why? imported ones aren't that nutritious, as they're harvested long before, stored in cold storage. Those from your area is nutritious as they're fresh, each seasonal fruits give us different nutrition that we need.
Thandai- some berries, jackfruit ! why not. How about litchi thandai, I'm sure that it will be yummy. Sadly the city where I stay now, I don't get litchis, plums, cherries, peaches and different varieties of mangoes like in Delhi. I miss Delhi for the fresh fruits and seasonal vegetables a lot. The musk melon was tasty there, I don't get tasty melons like that here, nor Sun melons😅
Doctors say not to eat fruits, sorry they're wrong, as fruits contain fructose, which won't spike your sugar levels, as long as you eat just 1 fruit a day. Fresh fruits give you fiber that you need, eat a fruit and not drink the juice, as nutrients are also lost in juice.
How many of you know that jackfruit is good for diabetics, it is, because it is rich in fiber. You get jackfruit flour, which you can combine with wheat flour to make roti, or mix with ragi/ finger millet flour and oats to make your morning kanji/ porridge. Jackfruit flour is available in Amazon, our daughter told us about it, used it for my husband in roti and kanji.
