Vegetable Modak Chaat



for filling
oil  1 tbsp
curry leaves few finely chopped
green chillies 2-3 or to taste finely chopped
onion finely chopped  1 cup
capsicum   chopped  1/2 cup
pepper pdr. and salt to taste
vinegar 1 tsp
green chilli-ginger-garlic paste  1 tsp
potato, cabbage, cauliflower, peas blanched  1/2 cup

for covering
maida dough as needed
oil to fry

heat a pan, add oil, fry curry leaves, green chilli for a minute, add onion, fry till pink
add seasonings, vinegar, and the blanched vegetables
stir till well mixed and veges are cooked
roll dough into small puris, put enough stuffing in each, bring together and shape like modak
steam in a hot steamer for 10 minutes
remove, cool, then fry in hot oil, drain
to serve, place modaks, on a plate, put some fine sev, then curd, put some green and sweet chutney, chopped coriander leaves, serve at once
