Ingredients
chana dal washed and soaked 2 cups
grated coconut 1 cup
onion 2 finely chopped
green chillies finely chopped 5-6
ginger paste 1 tsp
garlic paste 1 tsp ( optional)
turmeric pdr. 1/2 tsp
soda bicarb 1/4 tsp
coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp
oil for frying
salt to taste
Method
grind chana dal and coconut coarsely along with chillies
mix onion, coriander leaves, turmeric pdr. , the paste and salt well
heat oil enough to fry the cutlets
or you can shallow fry in a pan/tava
just before frying, add soda bicarb, mix well, shape into cutlets shallow or deep fry till crisp on both sides
serve hot with chutney/ ketchup
