Pineapple and Cheerry Jelly

Ingredients

pineapple slices  1 small tin ( 450 gm)
glazed cherries  6
gelatin  6 1/2 tsp
citric acid  1 1/4 tsp
sugar   4 1/2  tbsp
pineapple syrup from the tin  1 cup
water   1 1/2 cups
pineapple essence  1/2 tsp

Method

Keep 6 slices of pineapple and cut the rest into small pieces
take gelatin, citric acid, sugar in a vessel
add syrup from the tin and the water
mix, keep aside for 5 minutes
heat, melt gelatin and sugar
remove, cool
add pineapple essence and pieces
put in the fridge to semi-set
in 2 moulds/ bowls, put 1 slice of pineapple in the centre with a glazed cherry of each
pour semi-set jelly on it
put the moulds/ bowls in the fridge to set completely
unmould in individual serving plates, decorate with remaining pineapple slices and cherries
