Paneer 2 pyazza !

You must be wondering why a unique name 2 pyazza. You know pyazz means onion in Hindi, 2- two types of onion is used in this recipe, onion paste and sliced onion, hence paneer 2 payzza !

 

INGREDIENTS

paneer  500 gm cut into desired size

onion paste 1 cup

onion sliced 1 cup

tomato paste  3 tbsp

curd  3 tbsp

turmeric pdr 1 tsp

red chili pdr 1 tsp

dhania pdr 1 tsp

garam masala pdr 1 tsp

ghee  2 tbsp

ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp

coriander leaves

 

METHOD

 heat ghee in a kadai/ pan, add onion paste, wee bit of salt, and fry on low flame till brown

now add the dry masala pdr and ginger-garlic paste, fry well for 3-4 minutes sprinkling little water 

now add the sliced onion and fry on low flame till brown, can be covered and cooked, stirring in between, roughly for 20 minutes till brown adding little salt.

Once ghee comes out, add tomato paste, curd mix well, let it cook till ghee comes out

add water , let it boil,  add paneer slices, let it cook covered for 3-4 minutes, you may add crushed kasturi methi if desired.

serve garnished with fresh coriander leaves chopped.

ps- you want it richer, then instead of curd, add 10-12 cashew ground to a paste.
