Raw mango chutney !

 Unlike the usual chutney, this one has real unique combo, shallots/ sambar onion, raw mango, coconut, ginger, green chili, jeera. This chutney will be thick, to get the original taste, if one still has the stone to grind, can try it, or of course, the most dependable mixer jar will always be there.


INGREDIENTS

shallots/ sambar onion 3 peeled

raw mango grated 1/2 cup

fresh coconut grated 1/4 cup

ginger 1 tbsp chopped

green chili to taste

black  salt to taste.


METHOD

if using the stone, put some salt and grind shallots well. Then add the grated mango and grind.

Now add the grated coconut, grind, along with jeera and ginger.

Once well ground add the chopped green chilies and little more salt as needed to a coarse thick chutney

This goes well the paruppu vadai, even to mix with hot rice, dosai, idli, maybe spread on toasted bread ! the choice if yours.
