INGREDIENTS
moong sprouts 1/4 cup, boiled
kidney beans cooked 2-3 tbsp boiled
small red beans sprouts 1/4 cup
onion finely chopped 1/4 cup
tomatoes finely chopped 1/4 cup
red chilli pdr. 1 tsp or to taste
ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp
turmeric pdr. 1/4 tsp
asafoetida 1/4 tsp
saunf/fennel seeds 1 tsp
cashew nuts 1 tbsp
raisins 1 tbsp
garam masala pdr. 1/2 tsp
cooked rice 1 bowl or as needed
salt to taste
oil 2 tbsp
ghee 1-2 tbsp
METHOD
in a heavy pan, heat oil and ghee, add saunf, fry well, add onion, fry till light brown
add the paste, tomatoes, chilli pdr., turmeric pdr. fry well with little salt
once the masala os thick, add garam masala, the sprouts, kidney beans, salt, rice mix well, keep on low flame covered for 2-3 minutes, for the masala to be absorbed in rice and sprouts, salt
add some finely chopped coriander leaves
garnish with fried nuts and raisins
serve hot with some raita or spiced curd and roasted papad/ chips
