Ingredients
tuvar/ arhar dal soaked and ground coarse 1 bowl
oil 1 tsp + for frying
salt to taste
chana masala 1/2 tsp
onion finely chopped 2 tbsp
chilli-ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
spinach washed and cut 1 bowl
curd 1 tsp
besan/ gram flour 2 tbsp or little more
semolina/ suji 1 tbsp
for dip
green chillies 3 roasted
ginger 1"
garlic 3-4 cloves
dhania/ coriander leaves 1 tbsp
sugar 1/2 tsp
roasted jeera 1/4 tsp
curd 2 tbsp
salt to taste
pound in pestle, ginger, garlic, chillies well, add jeera/ cumin, dhania, sugar, crush well
add to curd, along with salt to taste
METHOD for tikkis
heat 1 tsp oil, fry the dal well till dry on low flame stirring continuously
remove, cool, add salt, chana masala, onion, chilli-ginger-garlic paste, dhania, curd, spinach, mix well, add besan and suji, mix well, if the mixture is a bit sticky to roll a tikki, add some besan/suji/ rice flour as needed
make tikkis, shallow fry in a pan till golden brown and crisp on both sides.
ps- healthy, protein, minerals rich snack with the dip will make it easily digestible.
