INGREDIENTS
moong dal boiled 1 cup, drained
chana dal boiled 1/2 cup, drained
grind both well, add 1/2 tsp cardamom pdr., chilli pdr. 1/4 tsp, salt 1/4 tsp, mix well for covering
for filling
coconut grated 1/2 cup
jaggery/ gur grated 1/4 cup or little less
mix both well and keep aside
make small balls of the dal mixture, shape like a cup, put enough filling inside, cover well from all sides, flatten well taking care that filling doesn't come out
make all tikkis in the same way
heat a tava, grease it, shallow fry the tikkis till light brown on both sides adding enough oil
serve hot, plain or with sweet date and tamarind chutney
