INGREDIENTS
capsicum as many as you require (either cut into halves or just core the centre & keep it whole, it depends on the way you like it, as some love the stuffing also to be well fried)
besan/ gram flour roughly 1/4 cup for 3-4 capsicums
onion finely chopped 3/4 cup
salt to taste
turmeric pdr. 1/4 tsp
hing 1/4 tsp
chilli pdr. to taste
garam masala pdr. 1/2 tsp/ channa masala pdr.
oil as required
ajwain/ carom seeds 1/2 tsp
sugar roughly 1/2 tsp
METHOD
in a pan, heat roughly 3 tbsp of oil, add carom seeds, once it crackles, add hing, saute, add onion, salt, sugar, for the onion to fry well
add turmeric pdr, besan, masalas, fry well, keep it covered in sim for roughly 2-3 minutes, stir well again, if you get a nice aroma, take off the gas or keep it covered for another 1-2 minutes.
put the stuffing in whichever form you've cut the capsicum, then in a pan, add wee bit of oil, add the stuffed capsicums, cover, keep on low flame, after 2-3 minutes, turn over, cook again covered till both sides are light brown.
Serve hot with roti/ rice/ bread.
