POHA/ CHIWDA TIKKI/ CUTLETS

INGREDIENTS

thick poha washed well, soaked in wee bit of water to soften it   2 cups
finely chopped cabbage/ cauliflower/ carrot/ onion/ potatoes( you can add all/ some or just 1/2 of the veges mentioned ) roughly 1 cup
fresh coriander leaves finely chopped  2-3 tbsp
chilli-ginger paste   2 tsp
roasted and coarsely powdered peanuts   3-4 tbsp
lime juice  1 tbsp
chana masala  1 tsp
coriander-cumin powder  1tsp
salt to taste
oil to fry

METHOD

in a bowl, add poha, add the veges, coriander leaves, paste, lime juice, chana masala, cumin pdr. mix well, if too dry, sprinkle little water, so that you can get like a dough, for that you've to keep kneading well
then add peanuts, salt, mix well
shape into cutlets/ tikki
you can either deep fry/ shallow fry till golden in colour
serve hot with green chutney and ketchup
