SANDWICH ARVI LEAVES

INGREDIENTS

arvi leaves  5
idli batter
oil
salt to taste
mustard seeds  1 tsp
hing  little
curry leaves finely chopped   1 tsp
green chillies finely chopped  2 tsp or to taste

METHOD

grease a plate, which fits into a cooker/ steamer
spread one thin  layer of idli batter, spread an arvi leaf on it
spread another layer on batter on top of the leaf, repeat the process with 4 more leaves
last spread idli batter on top
steam for 15-20 minutes
remove, cut into desired shapes
in a small pan/ kadai, heat oil, add mustard seeds, once it crackles, add hing, curry leaves, chillies
pour the seasoning on the steamed pieces, serve
