INGREDIENTS
green peas/ any other green fresh seeds- chana, mocha kottai 1 cup
onion 2 finely chopped
tomatoes finely chopped 2
coconut grated 1/4 cup grind with poppy seeds/ kaskas roasted 2 tbsp
salt to taste
turmeric pdr. 1/4 tsp
chilli pdr. to taste
oil 2-3 tbsp
water 1 cup
METHOD
in a heavy pan, add water, rest of the ingredients, mix well, for first 3 minutes, cook on high flame, uncovered, then on sim, cook it covered for 5 minutes, stir, cook till dry, at that point, keep stirring continuously, or else, it will get stuck to the bottom of you're not using a non-stick pan.
if need be add little oil, cook till dry, add some finely chopped curry leaves ( to know if it is cooked, either you can crush one with your hand, or you'll find a gloss on the top.)
ps- if you're using fresh green peas, it will get cooked fast, then I'll advise you to add peas after the first 5 minutes, of cooking rest of the ingredients, if using others, then add all together. this is a simple and easy dish, as one need not fry each item well, don't worry, no raw smell, it will get cooked well & also tasty.
