Protein rich Mango Barfi ! Microwave



 I wanted to try making Mango besan barfi for prasad to Sri Sai Baba. 

Ingredients

ghee 2-3 tbsp

besan 4 tbsp

mango 1 big chopped fine

sugar about 3 tbsp or more, it depends on how sweet your mango is.

nuts as desired

ghee for greasing the plate

 

Method

Melted about 1 1/2 tbsp ghee in a micro safe dish, added the besan, mixed well.

Micro high for 1 minute, took out, stirred well, again micro high for another minute.

After mixing felt, a little more ghee was needed, added another tbsp or so, mixed well

Micro high for a minute, remove, stir, micro for another minute.

I mixed well, kept for again 2 minutes, adding some nuts and a tsp of ghee.

By now it was done, removed, spread on a greased plate, leveled  it,

spread some nuts on top, pressed it down.

Once it was cold, I cut into pieces and I really loved this Mango Barfi !

Protein rich, as besan is rich in protein.

I'm sure that you can make the same over gas , but as I can't keep stirring while standing for long, I did it in microwave.
