Croutons can upgrade almost any soup and
salad, but most of the time we avoid using them because of their high
caloric content. But what if we told you that we have a winning recipe
for baked croutons that will keep you satisfied, and help you watch your
calorie intake? No doubt you’ll want to try them so we decided to spoil
you with this recipe for addictive guilt-free croutons.

Ingredients for Baked Croutons:
Olive oil - 3 tbsp.
Garlic - 2 cloves (crushed)
Bread - 3 cups (cut into 1-inch cubes)
Salt - to taste
Ground black pepper - to taste
Method of preparing the Croutons:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with
parchment paper.
Mix the olive oil in a small bowl with the crushed garlic for about
half a minute.
Pour the oil and garlic through a sieve into another bowl, and
squeeze the garlic left in the sieve with a wooden spoon. Set the bowl
aside.
Add the spices, mix well, and mix in the cubed bread.
Coat the bread in olive oil and lay it out on the baking pan.
Sprinkle the leftover garlic on top of the bread, place the pan on
the middle shelf of the oven and bake for 15-25 minutes, or until the
bread cubes turn golden brown.
Remove the pan from the oven and season if needed.
Tip:
The croutons can be kept for up to 3 weeks in a sealed container.
