DRY FRUIT GUJIA / SOMASI



INGREDIENTS
For stuffing
Paneer crumbled well 1 cup
Ghee 2 tsp
Dry fruits powdered  ½ cup
Copra/ dry coconut grated  ¼ cup
Peanut pdr.  ¼ cup
Cardamom pdr. 1 tsp
Saffron few strands
Castor sugar 1 cup
Heat ghee, fry paneer for 2-3 minutes on medium flame, add rest of the ingredients except sugar and cardamom pdr., fry for another 3-4 minutes, remove, cool completely, then add sugar and cardamom pdr., mix well

FOR COVERING
wheat flour  1 cup
Suji  ½ cup
Salt pinch
Ghee 2 tbsp
water as needed to make dough
oil for frying

METHOD
Mix flour , suji , salt and ghee well, then add water little by little to make a soft dough. Make small puri, put water all around, put enough stuffing, pinch all around as if rolled to seal well. Or you can use the gujia mould to do it, then fry in medium hot oil till crisp, drain, cool and store.
