INGREDIENTS
oil 1 tbsp
jeera 1 tsp
onion 2 finely chopped
ginger-garlic-green chili paste 1
tbsp
jeera pdr. 1 tsp
garam masala pdr. 1 tsp
turmeric pdr 1/4 tsp
chili pdr. 1/2- 1 tsp ( as the spicy masala paste will be added)
lauki 2 grated and blanched
peanut roasted and powdered 1/2 cup
til roasted and pdr. 2 tbsp
sugar 1 tsp ( optional)
lime juice 1-2 tsp
salt to taste
METHOD
heat oil, add jeera, fry onion with the paste till the raw smell goes, add
the spice powders and turmeric, fry for 2 minutes on low flame, add grated
lauki, mix well, cover and let it cook for 3-4 minutes, add 2 tbsp of the spicy
masala paste or as per taste, salt and sugar, let it cook for another 2-3
minutes on low flame, add roasted powders, mix well along with coriander
leaves, remove from gas, add lime juice. serve hot with roti/ rice.
ps- 1) you can use cabbage instead of bottle gourd also,
2) this vege can be used to make sandwiches, stuffed parantha adding some
grated cheese or paneer.
