Aam papad ( mango thin slices like papad)

The king of fruits is everyone's favourite. All eagerly await for the start of the summer season, for the mangoes to appear in the market. There are so many varieties of mangoes that each one comes in a particular month. This fruit is delicious not only to eat plain, in ice-creams, cakes, puddings, kheer and as aam papad. This recipe is ver simple just 2 ingredients ! unbelievable, right, you read it right, just 2 !


INGREDIENTS

mango puree 1 cup ( preferably fresh)

sugar 1/2 cup

 

 NOTE- in case you're using canned mango puree, add less sugar, depending on the sweetness of the preserve.


PREPARATIONS

in a big kadai, add mango puree and sugar, keep stirring on medium flame till it reaches the consistency of jam, like it falls in a line from the serving spoon. At this juncture stir for some more time,  spread it thinly on a big greased plate ( greased with ghee preferable). Let it be undisturbed for 2-3 days in the sun light to dry, then you'ld be able ti cut into desired shapes.
