Nungu is something which we used to get so often when I was a kid in Bombay. The nungu that we'ld get were big and real juicy, compared to the nungu that I get in this southern state. It is mainly available during summer, supposed to be cooler. Nungu has it resemblances in some ways to Litchi fruit, which is smaller oval in shape, while nungu is flat around 3" disc. INGREDIENTS AND METHOD
Water 1 cup to boil
Add roasted semia 1 cup
Once semia is well cooked, add condensed milk to taste
Remove cool, transfer to another dish, add boiled and cooled milk roughly ½ liter
In the mean time, grind 2 pieces of nungu in a mixer jar grind to a fine paste
Add the paste to the cooled mixture, along with 2-3 nungu cut into small pieces
Mix well, add some ice cubes and serve cold.
