This healthy version is easy and simple, not much ghee, made with gur pdr, which gives it a nice colour.
INGREDIENTS
gur pdr 1 1/2 cup
water little
cashew pdr 1 cup
cashew nuts coarsely powdered for garnishing
ghee little to grease the plate
METHOD
In a kadai or heavy pan, add water and jaggery pdr, keep stirring on and off till it comes to 1 string consistency.
at this stage add cashew pdr, little at a time, stirring well, to prevent lumps
once all the cashew pdr is added, and when the mixture comes together, when you lift the ladle it doesn't fall down, spread it on a greased plate to set. then cut and serve, garnish with cashew nuts coarsely powdered, press it down by spreading it on top before it sets.
