Like in my previous recipe, in this just 3 ingredients. I'm sure that many of you must be a big fan of this dessert like my family. A box of cashew barfi will disappear in no time
INGREDIENTS
mawa/ khoya 1 cup
sugar 1/2 cup
cashew paste 1/2 cup ( cashew soaked overnight or for a few hours in hot water, drain and grind)
you may add a pinch of cardamom pdr in the end before spreading it on the tray
PREPARATIONS
in a big kadai, add mawa, keep stirring till it gets soft, then add sugar and kaju paste, keep stirring till it is of flowing consistency. Then pour it on a greased tray, spread it evenly. Once it has cooled to room temperature, shift it to the fridge to set for 2-3 hours.
remove the tray, cut the aam papad to the size of the tray, gently lift it with 2 big spatulas to lay it on top of kaju barfi, press it down lightly. Then slice them both together in squares and serve, store for a day outside in a box with a tight lid. If it is still there, as the family has become health conscious, keep the remaining pieces in the fridge.
