A BIG TIP TO SAVE GAS

 Dear Friends

you're all aware due to foolishness of some, how the whole world is facing energy crisis. Food is the most essential thing for us to survive along with clean air and water. To get gas for cooking, in some places, they may be facing some problem. Cost of petrol and diesel is hiked in all the countries except India till today, where only the cost of premium petrol has gone up by Rs. 2.50. Gas cylinders prices are hiked, as we're greatly dependent/  or rather totally in the Middle East for our LPG cylinders. Those sites from Oman which was our main supplier, was bombed.

In such circumstances, I'm sure the worry of all households is how to save gas. I tried heating water in microwave and pouring it in  my vessel to make tea. I drink 4-5 cups of tea per day. I don't keep making it fresh each time. I make tea decoction in the morning after breakfast when I've my 1st cup of tea. By heating water in microwave, water boils within a minute, so I save gas.

Earlier too, I used to bake cakes, make halwa, pickles in the microwave. I used to make bhindi/ lady finger and stuffed brinjal in microwave, as I was able to cook in less oil. Yesterday, I made paneer burji in microwave. Heat oil with jeera for a minute, added chopped onion, garlic, chili, cooked for 2 minutes with little salt, added tomatoes, grated carrot, turmeric pdr, little salt, cooked covered for 3 minutes, in between stirring once, then added chopped paneer, added salt to taste, cooked for a minute, added Kitchen king masala, cooked for another minute.

I made onion-potato-brinjal sabzi also in the microwave. Those who want to save on gas, try such methods, as in the future, all are going to face hard times. We need food, hotels are suffering as govt. decided to give to households first.  We can't blame the govt, they  didn't start the war. The govt. is trying all within it means to get regular supply of crude and LPG for its citizens.  Let us all join hands to help the govt.

Some can even try solar cooking. As, I stay in a senior home, I get food here, but due to age, certain things, I'm not able to swallow. I eat more veges and less rice. So, I do cook some sabzis for me at home and Tues. & Saturdays, I eat one meal at home and fruits at night. I'm a foodie. Those who  follow my blogs can see that many recipes I make in the microwave. One reason, to keep stirring on the gas is a problem for me, other save gas. I can make small soft cakes in microwave in less than 4 minutes. I've a sweet tooth, I do need a dessert, a small piece will do, but can't miss dessert.

Let us all pray for peace in this world, Let sanity prevail among some leaders.

Good luck to all.
