TOMATO JAM

INGREDIENTS

tomatoes nicely red & ripe  4 big one
sugar  1/2 cup
water   1/4 cup

METHOD

boil tomatoes in water until they're soft.
mash & pass through a sieve.
measure the pulp.
if it is 1/2 cup, add 1/2 cup of sugar & boil until it reaches a jam consistency ( to know jam consistency, see my pear & ginger jam recipe)
cool & store in a sterilised bottle.
