High protein, healthy dhokla. Light snacks, steamed.
Ingredients
chana dal 1 cup
curd 1/2 cup
ginger 1" chopped
green chilies 1-2 as per taste
hing
sugar 1 tsp
turmeric pdr 1/2 tsp
salt to taste
water as needed
For tempering
oil 2 tbsp
mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
sesame seeds 1 tsp
green chilies slit 3-4
few curry leaves finely chopped
coriander leaves finely chopped
Preparations
wash and soak chana dal for 3-4 hours, grind it along with green chili and ginger to a smooth batter.
add curd, hing, salt, sugar, turmeric, mix well, let it rest for 5-6 hours or overnight to ferment.
keep steamer with water to boil.
add Eno fruit salt or baking soda to the batter, whisk well
pour the batter in a greased plate and steam for 15-20 minutes
heat oil in a small kadai, add mustard seeds, once it crackles, add sesame seeds, green chilies, curry leaves
pour this over the steamed dhokla, garnish with chopped coriander leaves, cut and serve with mint or dhania chutney.
