Bengali Chaler Payesh

 Ingredients

Method :

Heat milk in a deep vessel. 
 
Wash and drain the rice. Mix it with ghee.
Once the milk starts to boil, add rice and bay leaf.
Cook on low flame until the rice is nicely cooked and the milk reduces to almost half.
Keep it on the gas for around 30 minutes, ensure to stir the milk continuously.
Add sugar once the rice is cooked. Cook it for 5 minutes.
Add cardamom powder and mix well.
Garnish with cashew nuts and raisins. Serve it chilled.
