Masoor Dal Falafel

 red lentil falafel 

Ingredients

 1 cup masoor dal

2 cups water

1 small onion

3 cloves garlic

2-3 green chilies chopped as per taste 

1 cup chopped coriander leaves

1 tsp salt or to taste

½ tsp cumin

2 tbsp flour

3-4 tbsp oil for frying

 

Preparations wash and cover masoor dal with water and soak for about one hour until doubled in size. Drain the dal and add to a food processor together with the rest of ingredients except flour and oil. Blend everything until you get a paste like consistency. Add flour, mix well and form little balls.  Heat the oil in a pan and fry each falafel on all sides until crisp Enjoy your protein rich falafel with green chutney and sauce of your taste.
