Ingredients
for filling
chana dal pressure cook for 3 whistles, not mushy,
green chilies as per taste
salt to taste
ginger 2 tsp finely chopped
garlic finely chopped ( optional)
oil 1 tbsp
jeera 1 tsp
jeera pdr 1 tsp
coriander pdr 2 tsp
red chili pdr to taste
amchur pdr 1 tsp
coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
turmeric pdr 1/2 tsp
hing 1/4 tsp
For dough
maida as needed
salt little
ajwain 1/2 tsp
oil 1 tsp
water as needed
oil for frying
Preparations
mix all the items of dough except the last one to a soft dough,
cover and rest it for 30 minutes
in a mixer jar add green chilies, ginger and chana dal, grind not very fine, without any water
In a pan, add oil, once hot, add jeera, once it crackles, add hing, turmeric pdr, other masala pdr mix well for a minute, add ground dal, salt to taste, mix well for 2 minutes, add coriander leaves, mix well, remove , spread on a plate to cool.
Make small balls of the dal to stuff.
Make similar balls with the dough, form like a cup in your hand, put the dal stuffing, carefully roll it with a rolling pin to a big size pori
fry in hot oil till brown on both sides, drain well.
serve hot with pickle, curd or with cucumber raita.
Your breakfast will have carbs, protein, vitamins to make it a complete meal and also fiber.
