Sabakki Idli/ Fasting Idli

 Ingredients

sabudana 1 cup

idli rava 1 cup

curd 1 cup

water as needed

salt to taste

green chilies 2-3 finely chopped

ginger 1 tsp finely chopped

baking soda  1/2 tsp

coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp

oil to grease idli plates

 

Preparations

wash and soak sabudana in enough water for 3-4 hours till soft

add idli rava, curd and water to make a thick batter

add green chilies, ginger and coriander leaves along with salt, mix well

let the batter rest for 30 minutes

before steaming add baking soda , whisk well

pour batter in greased idli plates

steam in cooker for 15 minutes in medium heat

serve hot with coconut chutney, sambar
