Ingredients
Peel and Grated bottle gourd / lauki 2 cups/ 500 gm
Sugar as per taste
Ghee 2-3 tbsp
Milk 1 ½ cups
Cardamom pdr ½ tsp
Almonds/, cashews chopped 1 tbsp
Raisins 1 tbsp
Preparations
Fry the nuts and raisins in ghee, drain and remove and keep in a small cup.
In the same grated gourd in ghee fry the grated gourd ( make sure the seeds are removed while grating the gourd).
Fry the gourd till the moisture dries up. Whole stirring continuously, add milk mix it well
Let it cook on medium flame stirring often till it becomes thick and milk has almost evaporated
Add sugar to taste and keep stirring well now, as it can get burnt at this stage.
As it all comes together, add the roasted nuts and raisins, reserving some for garnishing
Before removing add cardamom pdr and little ghee if needed.
Garnish with remaining nuts and raisins and serve hot.
It tastes good cold also.
