Ingredients
ready popcorn/ microwave popcorn 8 cups
butter 2 tbsp
cheddar cheese shredded 1/2 cup
butter paper
Preparations
If you are using kernels, pop them and cool them before you start. You can use readily-popped ones as well.
Pour the popcorn into a large bowl. You can use them whole to make the balls, or gently break them with your hand and use them as well.
Take a small pan and add butter. Melt it on a low flame and then add the shredded cheese. Stir till the cheese melts.
Pour layer by layer into the bowl of popcorn so it spreads and coats well.
Mix gently using a spoon.
Let it sit for up to a minute.
Take a large plate or tray and place a butter paper on it.
Grease your hands with a little oil.
Scoop half a handful and start forming a small ball when still warm.
Set them on the butter paper and let them cool.
Serve within the next hour, or the popcorn will lose its crunch.
TIP- you can add flavours while you melt the butter, either pepper pdr, / chili pdr, or some herbs, depends on your taste.
