INGREDIENTS
gooseberries 5 cups, washed & steamed
raisin 11/2 cups
onion 1 sliced
brown sugar 1 cup
mustard pdr. 3 tbsp
ginger paste 3 tbsp
salt 3 tbsp
chilli pdr. 1 tsp
turmeric pdr. 1 tsp
vinegar 4 cups
METHOD
finely chop the gooseberries, raisins, onion,
in a big saucepan, add all the ingredients & bring slowly to boiling point, reduce heat, simmer for 45 minutes.
cool & strain through a coarse sieve.
cool & store in a clean,dry container.
