INGREDIENTS
onion finely chopped 1 big
arhar dal ( tuvar dal) cooked with just enough water 1/2 cup
paneer grated 1/2 cup
green chili-ginger paste or finely chopped 2 tsp
garlic paste or finely chopped 1 tsp ( optional)
salt to taste
red chili pdr. to taste
garam masala pdr. 1 tsp
oil 1 tbsp
turmeric pdr. 1/2 tsp
lime juice 1 tsp
coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp
METHOD
heat oil, fry onion along with garlic, once light pink, add ginger-green chili paste, fry for 2 minutes
add cooked dal with turmeric pdr., red chili pdr., garam masala pdr., keep frying till dal is dry
add paneer, cook for another 2 minutes all on low flame, keep stirring continuously.
switch off gas, add lime juice, coriander leaves, mix well , cool.
To make gujiyas, make dough with refined flour and rava to a stiff dough, roll out like puris, put the stuffing, seal well, deep fry, drain and serve hot with green chutney and sweet chutney.
To make paranthas- make dough like for roti- put enough stuffing, roll out as thin as possible, cook on tawa with ghee/ oil till brown on both sides. serve hot with vege raita and pickle.
ps- you can make the stuffing and keep in the fridge for a couple of days and use as desired.
