COCONUT PHIRNI



INGREDIENTS
milk  1/2 litre / 500 ml
rice soaked in water for 30 minutes   3 tbsp
sugar  1/4 cup
coconut finely grated / desiccated coconut 1 cup
rose syrup  2-3 tbsp
cardamom pdr.  1/2 tsp

METHOD
keep milk to boil in a heavy pan / kadai
grind soaked rice with little milk to slightly coarse paste
once milk boils, add the paste, keep stirring till rice gets cooked and thick
add sugar and coconut stir and cook till thick
add rose syrup and cardamom pdr., mix well, remove, serve on little earthen pots when cool.
