INGREDIENTS
for dough
Fresh coconut finely grated ½ cup
Corn crushed ½ cup
Besan 2 tbsp
Rava/ suji 2 tbsp
Atta/ wheat flour 2 tbsp
Salt and chili pdr. to taste
Til/ sesame seeds 1 tsp
Lime juice 1 tbsp
Turmeric pdr. ½ tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Chana masala 1/ tsp
Garam masala ½ tsp
Ginger-green chili paste 1 tbsp
Water to make dough
For tadka
Oil 2 tbsp
Hing ¼ tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Til/ sesame seeds 1 tsp
Curry leaves few finely chopped
Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tbsp
METHOD
Mix coconut, corn, flours, rava with seasonings well adding enough water to
make dough.
Roll into long 1 “ thick logs. Put them in a greased plate to steam for
about 10-12 minutes.
Remove, cool and cut into small
bites.
Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, hing,til, curry leaves, add the
bites, toss well to coat it, adding half of the chopped coriander leaves,
keeping reminder for garnishing.
