Jackfruitseed Halwa- NO fat. Protein rich


 Ingredients

any dal- moong, arhar, chana / masoor you can use 1/2 cup

jackfruit seeds 10 +

jaggery pdr  1/2 cup or more as per your taste

rice flour/ maida/ wheat flour/ suji  1/4 cup roughly

water 3-4 tbsp as needed

 

Method

pressure cook dal, I kept dal in a small vessel, put the washed seeds around, pressure cook for 5-6 whistles

mash the dal well, peel the skin of the jackfruit seeds, I only removed the thick outer skin, rest brown thin pieces weren't removed. 

I cut the seeds into very small pieces, you can grind it, if you don't want to have the seeds chunk, as I felt, it will make you feel you're biting into nuts.

I added dal, chopped seeds, gur pdr, flour, water, mixed well

micro high for 2 minutes, mixed well, repeated the process another 3-4 times, till you feel the halwa has come to the right consistency you like, you can little ghee on top to give a shine and taste, add nuts n raisins as per desire.
