Paruppu Vadai on Festive days

 Ingredients

Chana dal 1 cup

Tuvar dal 2 tbsp

Urad dal 2 tbsp, wash and soak for 3 hours

Drain well, in a mixer jar add red chilies 3-4 as per taste

Ginger 1” chopped, 

hing ¼ tsp

 turmeric pdr ¼ tsp

Salt to taste, grind the masalas first with 2 handful of dal, remove

Then grind dal without adding any water to a coarse paste, mix well with the dal ground earlier with the masala

add finely chopped curry and coriander leaves, Add 2 tbsp grated coconut, mix well, fry in hot oil.

Drain well and serve hot with coconut chutney 

 

ps- if you want a nice snack on a cold/ rainy day, add some finely chopped onion to the ground dal paste and fry and enjoy the onion vada hot with a nice hot cup of coffee/ tea.
