Ingredients
for koftas
grated doodhi/ lauki  1 cup
besan 4-5 tbsp
coriander leaves 2 tbsp
chili pdr. and salt to taste
turmeric pdr. 1/2 tsp
jeera/ cumin pdr. 1 tsp
baking soda 1/2 tsp
water to make a thick paste
grease a dish/ plate, spread the mixture sprinkle little pepper pdr., steam in a cooker/ steamer for 15 minutes, remove, cool and cut into desired shapes 
 
for gravy
oil 4 tsp
hing 1/2 tsp
cloves 4-5
cinnamon stick 2-3 small bits
ginger-garlic paste 1tsp
tomato puree 2 cups
thick buttermilk  2 cups
salt and red chili pdr. to taste
 
Method
in a pan/ kadai, heat oil, add hing, cloves, cinnamon, ginger-garlic paste, tomato puree, turmeric pdr, chili pdr. mix well, once it boils well for 3 minutes, add buttermilk, salt to taste, add the cut koftas, simmer for 5 minutes, sprinkle some finely chopped coriander leaves, serve hot with rice/ roti/ bread
